recipe
Kebuli Rice
In a pot, sauté onions, garlic, and a mix of Middle Eastern spices (like cumin, cinnamon, and cloves). Add basmati rice, stir to coat, then pour in chicken broth. Add chunks of marinated chicken and cook until both the rice and chicken are tender. Serve with fried onions and a boiled egg on top.
Pistachio Baklava
Layer sheets of filo pastry in a baking dish, brushing each layer with melted butter. Sprinkle a mixture of crushed pistachios and sugar between every few layers. Repeat until all the pastry is used, then bake at 180°C for 45 minutes until golden. Once baked, pour a syrup made from honey, lemon juice, and water over the baklava. Let it soak before serving.
Steamed Chicken Dumplings
Mix ground chicken with chopped vegetables like cabbage and carrots, seasoned with soy sauce, ginger, and garlic. Wrap the mixture in dumpling wrappers, then steam the dumplings for about 8-10 minutes until the filling is cooked through. Serve with a soy-ginger dipping sauce.
